4 Years of MSPInfluencer: 3 Lessons and What’s Next

From a vision to amplify the MSP channel to a growing media platform reaching more than 75,000 professionals, our first four years have taught us something important about where this industry is headed.

November 2026 | MSPInfluencer Editorial Team

Four years ago, MSPInfluencer began with a simple belief: the managed services industry deserved a stronger voice.

Not just another place for vendor announcements or product promotions, but a platform where MSP professionals could discover meaningful insights, hear directly from industry leaders, celebrate innovation, and connect with the people shaping the future of our channel.

Today, as we celebrate our fourth anniversary, that vision has grown into something far bigger than we initially imagined.

MSPInfluencer now reaches more than 75,000 MSP professionals through our growing media platform and subscriber community.

Along the way, we’ve expanded our editorial coverage, introduced PrimeCast, developed the MSPInfluencer Awards, featured industry leaders through podcast conversations, and reported from major industry events around the world.

We’ve interviewed entrepreneurs, CEOs, technology innovators, cybersecurity experts, and MSP leaders. We’ve explored emerging trends, shared stories of success and failure, and watched our industry navigate extraordinary change.

But as we reflect on the past four years, one thing stands out.

Our greatest achievement isn’t simply the audience we’ve built-It’s what that audience has taught us.

Here are three lessons that have shaped MSPInfluencer—and are now influencing what comes next.

Lesson #1: Trust Matters More Than Impressions

There is no shortage of information in the MSP channel.

Every day brings product launches, acquisitions, research reports, cybersecurity alerts, marketing campaigns, and predictions about the future of technology.

But more information doesn’t automatically create more value.

Over the past four years, we’ve learned that MSP professionals are looking for something deeper: trusted perspectives, authentic conversations, and information they can actually use.

They want to understand what a technology means for their business, not simply what a vendor says it can do.

They want to hear from leaders who’ve built successful companies, overcome challenges, and learned difficult lessons.

And they want those conversations without every interaction turning into a sales pitch.

That understanding has helped shape our approach to content.

Through our podcasts and interviews, we’ve created opportunities for industry leaders to move beyond talking points and share the experiences behind their accomplishments.

Through our editorial coverage, we’ve focused on industry developments, technology trends, and issues affecting managed service providers.

And through PrimeCast, we’ve continued expanding the opportunities for important voices and ideas to reach the MSP community.

The lesson is simple: attention can be purchased, but trust must be earned.

For MSPInfluencer, earning that trust remains one of our greatest responsibilities.

Lesson #2: The MSP Channel’s Greatest Asset Is Its People

Technology drives our industry, but people make it extraordinary.

Behind every successful MSP is someone who took a risk.

Behind every innovative solution is a team that identified a problem and decided to solve it.

And behind many of the channel’s most significant achievements are individuals whose contributions don’t always receive the recognition they deserve.

One of the most rewarding parts of building MSPInfluencer has been discovering those stories.

We’ve had conversations with established industry executives, emerging entrepreneurs, technical innovators, cybersecurity leaders, and people who have dedicated decades to helping MSPs succeed.

We’ve seen competitors collaborate, mentors help the next generation of leaders, and individuals contribute to the industry in ways that extend far beyond their own businesses.

That spirit helped inspire the growth of our recognition initiatives, including the MSPInfluencer Awards, where we celebrate leaders, vendors, innovators, and products making a difference throughout the channel.

It also reinforces why we continue to invest in interviews, original stories, event coverage, and PrimeCast.

These programs aren’t just about publishing content.

They’re about making sure the people and ideas moving our industry forward have an opportunity to be seen and heard.

As our community has grown, so has our appreciation for the remarkable talent within it.

The technology may change, but relationships, leadership, and human connection remain at the heart of this industry.

That’s something we never want to lose.

Lesson #3: The Future Isn’t About More Information. It’s About Better Information.

Perhaps the most important lesson we’ve learned is also the one shaping our future.

The MSP channel doesn’t have an information shortage. It has an attention challenge.

Think about how dramatically our industry has changed in just four years.

Artificial intelligence has moved from an emerging conversation to a central part of business and technology strategy.

Cybersecurity threats continue evolving, creating new responsibilities and opportunities for managed service providers.

Vendor ecosystems are consolidating and expanding. Customer expectations are changing. New business models are emerging.

And MSP professionals are expected to keep up with all of it while simultaneously running their businesses, supporting customers, managing teams, and planning for growth.

The amount of information competing for their attention is enormous.

Newsletters. Social media. Podcasts. Webinars. Conferences. Analyst reports. Vendor updates. Industry publications.

All of them competing for a limited resource: time.

Over the past four years, we’ve become increasingly convinced that the industry’s next challenge isn’t simply producing more content.

It’s helping MSP professionals identify what actually matters.

What deserves their attention today?

Which industry developments could affect their customers tomorrow?

What emerging technologies represent real opportunities rather than temporary hype?

And how can we make it easier for busy professionals to stay informed without adding to the noise?

These are questions we’ve been asking ourselves as MSPInfluencer continues to evolve.

We believe the future of industry media will be defined not only by the quality of the information it provides, but also by its relevance, accessibility, and timeliness.

The goal shouldn’t be to demand more of an MSP’s attention. It should be to deliver more value in the time they’re already giving us.

That realization has helped inspire our next major initiative.

Something Big Is Coming to MSPInfluencer

Four years ago, we set out to amplify the voices of the MSP channel.

Over time, that mission evolved into something broader.

We began connecting more people, highlighting more innovation, recognizing more leaders, and delivering more of the stories that matter to our industry.

But as we’ve grown, so has our vision for what MSPInfluencer can become.

For some time, our team has been working behind the scenes on something new.

Something inspired directly by the conversations we’ve had, the feedback we’ve received, and the lessons we’ve learned from serving this community.

We’re not ready to reveal all the details just yet.

But we can share this:

We believe what we’re building has the potential to be a game changer in how MSP professionals discover, understand, and consume the information that matters most to their businesses.

It’s a natural evolution of everything MSPInfluencer has stood for during our first four years.

And we’re getting very close to introducing it.

Stay tuned.

To the MSP Community: Thank You

None of this would have been possible without the people who have supported MSPInfluencer over these four years.

To the more than 75,000 professionals in our subscriber community: thank you for reading, watching, listening, and sharing your perspectives.

To the MSP owners and technology leaders who have trusted us with their stories: thank you for your openness and willingness to contribute.

To the vendors, sponsors, and industry partners who have supported our mission: thank you for believing in the value of connecting with this community.

To our award nominees, winners, podcast guests, PrimeCast participants, and everyone we’ve met along the way: you’ve helped make MSPInfluencer what it is today.

And to our team, whose work behind the scenes makes all of this possible: thank you for your dedication and commitment to the mission.

We are proud of how far we’ve come.

But we’re even more excited about where we’re going.

Four years have taught us that the MSP channel deserves more than another source of information.

It deserves a platform that respects its time, celebrates its people, and helps it navigate what’s next.

The first four years were about building our platform, strengthening our community, and earning your trust.

The next chapter is about making that trust even more valuable.

And that next chapter is almost here.

Four years down. We’re just getting started.
