This week, IT By Design rolled out its grand event, #BuildITLive, at the Hilton Bonnet Creek in Orlando, and it was nothing short of insightful. Here’s a glimpse of what stood out:
-
Disney Institute Training: This was a special highlight. A full day dedicated to the Disney Institute’s teachings was held on Sunday. A couple of surprising elements:
- No photographs allowed for the slides, a unique approach indeed.
- The insightful presentations were led by:
- Jay Pyka
- Mia Winters
Key Points:
- Viewing customers as guests and employees as cast members.
- The emphasis on role understanding.
- Importance of Quality Service through robust systems and processes.
- The threefold approach: Design – Deliver – Recover.
- The significance of Touch Points and exemplary Customer Service.
- The vast workforce: 74,000 cast members in Orlando.
- Cultural pillars: Heritage & Traditions, Shared Values, Language & Symbols, Traits & Behaviors.
- The essence of Leadership Excellence.
- I’ve jotted down extensive notes. Feel free to reach out if you’d like to dive deeper into any topic. @disneyinstitute
-
Event Growth: This is my second outing with ITBD’s event, and the progress is undeniable. Compared to the last year’s event in Jersey City, NJ, this was on a different scale. The branding, partner pavilion, and the main stage execution were top-notch.
-
ITBD’s Marketplace Launch: A new feather in ITBD’s cap, the introduction of their marketplace is sure to create a buzz.
With such promising endeavors, I’m eagerly looking forward to what the dynamic team at IT By Design brings to the table next!
