Geoff Thompson Named a 2026 MSPInfluencer Channel Leader
Advancing a Partner-First Vision for MSP Growth
Geoff Thompson, Vice President of Managed Services Strategy and Development at Barracuda, has been named a 2026 ForzaDash MSPInfluencer Channel Leader Award winner.
The recognition honors Geoff’s work strengthening Barracuda’s managed service provider business while helping partners improve profitability, expand recurring revenue, and deliver a broader range of cybersecurity services.
With 25 years in the channel, Geoff brings extensive experience in infrastructure, cloud services, and cybersecurity. Before joining Barracuda in 2024, he spent more than 17 years at VMware, holding several sales and leadership positions, including Vice President of VMware Cloud Provider Sales.
Helping MSPs Scale More Profitably
Over the past year, Geoff has led the continued growth and refinement of Barracuda’s MSP strategy. His work centers on a partner-first model that places managed service providers at the heart of the company’s go-to-market approach and customer delivery.
A major focus has been strengthening alignment between sales execution and back-office operations. That alignment helps improve predictability, scalability, and efficiency across the partner business.
Geoff is also working to integrate and expand Barracuda’s sell-through and MSP programs. The goal is to accommodate different partner business models while increasing service adoption and creating stronger recurring-revenue opportunities.
Reducing Complexity Through Cyber Resilience
MSPs face growing pressure from sophisticated threats, talent shortages, margin constraints, vendor sprawl, and rising customer expectations.
Geoff’s strategy addresses these challenges by simplifying operations and enabling partners to deliver more comprehensive, outcome-driven cybersecurity services.
BarracudaONE supports this approach by bringing together cyber-resilience capabilities across email, data, applications, networks, and managed XDR. Through greater integration, enablement, and operational alignment, MSPs can reduce administrative burdens while demonstrating measurable value to customers.
Barracuda also expects to increase its MDF investment in 2026, with an emphasis on partner-led demand generation in areas such as AI and cyber resilience.
Building Long-Term Partner Value
Geoff’s leadership philosophy combines data-driven decision-making, transparency, accountability, and consistent execution.
Rather than treating MSPs solely as a sales channel, his approach recognizes them as the primary drivers of customer success. That means listening to partner feedback, supporting different operating models, and aligning investments with sustainable partner growth.
His selection as a 2026 MSPInfluencer Channel Leader recognizes a commitment to helping MSPs scale efficiently, strengthen customer relationships, and build lasting value.
Congratulations to Geoff Thompson and Barracuda on this well-deserved recognition.
